A repaired ACM, back in the truck
Your own module, repaired. Not a replacement unit — we repair the sound chip in your ACM and send it straight back, so your settings and pairings come back with it.
Ford Ranger and Everest ACM faults — crackling speakers, no sound at all, FM dropouts and Bluetooth failures. Almost always a repairable fault in the audio control module, not a whole-unit replacement.
What you will notice
No Bluetooth. Your phone will not pair, or it pairs and then drops out.
Crackling through the speakers. A crackle or distortion that gets worse over time.
No sound at all. Screen works, everything looks normal, nothing comes out of the speakers.
All three point to the same failure inside the ACM — the box that drives your audio. When the sound chip inside it fails, this is what you get.
What a dealer charges
A dealer will not repair it. They replace the whole module, and that is where the cost comes from — typically between $1,500 and $2,200.
We repair the sound chip itself. $400 including overnight NZ Post shipping both ways, with a two year warranty on the repair. Your own module back in your dash, with all your settings on it.
Sending it in
You take the ACM out and post it to us. We send an instruction video showing exactly how to remove it — it is a straightforward job and you do not need special tools.
Your screen keeps working while the ACM is out. You will not have audio, but the display, reverse camera and everything else on it carry on as normal.
In Auckland, Hamilton or Whangarei?
We come to you, take your ACM out and fit one of our donor modules in its place on the spot. You drive away with working audio the same day, and we swap yours back once it is repaired. Same $400.
