Rattle or buzz from a front door speaker on a Mazda with the Bose system? It is a known fault. Water gets into the door, the speaker frame rusts, and the rust breaks the glue holding the cone to the frame — so it vibrates loose, worst on bass.

Mazda 3, Mazda 6, CX-5, CX-9, CX-30 and others, roughly 2013 onward. Bose-equipped cars only — standard Mazda audio uses different speakers.

One warning: do not let anyone drop a generic aftermarket speaker in. The Bose amplifier is tuned around the original speakers, and a mismatched one throws the balance out across the whole car.
