If your Ford Ranger or Everest has lost Bluetooth, developed a crackle through the speakers, or gone completely silent, the problem is almost always the same thing: the ACM. And the fix costs a fraction of what a dealer will quote you.

The three symptoms
No Bluetooth. Your phone will not pair, or it pairs and then drops out.
Crackling sound. A crackle or distortion through the speakers that gets worse over time.
No sound at all. Screen works, everything looks normal, but nothing comes out of the speakers.
All three point to the same failure inside the ACM — the Audio Control Module fitted to the Ford Ranger and Ford Everest. It is the box that drives your audio, and when the sound chip inside it fails, this is what you get.
What a Ford dealer will charge you
A dealer will not repair it. They replace the whole module, and that is where the cost comes from — typically between $1,500 and $2,200.
We repair the sound chip itself. $400 NZD, including overnight NZ Post shipping both ways, with a two year warranty on the repair.
Same fault fixed. Your own module back in your dash, with all your settings on it.
How it works if you are sending it in
You take the ACM out and post it to us. We send you an instruction video showing exactly how to remove it — it is a straightforward job and you do not need special tools.
We repair it and send it straight back, overnight, included in the price.
Your screen keeps working while the ACM is out. You will not have audio, but the display, reverse camera and everything else on it carry on as normal — so the vehicle is still perfectly usable while your module is with us.
In Auckland, Hamilton or Whangarei? We come to you
Same price, and you are not without your audio while it is away.
We come to you, take your ACM out, and fit one of our donor modules in its place on the spot. You drive away with working audio the same day. When yours is repaired we swap it back.
No extra charge for that — it is the same $400.

If it is no Bluetooth, crackling or silence, it almost always is. If your screen is dead or misbehaving instead, that is a different fault and worth a conversation first.
